Jalen is an empathetic, caring, and reflective artist who creates music that tells deeply personal stories. His work is grounded in the emotional landscapes of love, identity, and self-discovery. Jalen’s upcoming project, Echoes of Us, is a three-act breakup album that explores the complexities of moving forward after a relationship, navigating codependency, and finding the strength to stand in solidarity with oneself. His work blends introspection with a bold, extroverted energy, ultimately discovering self-love and new beginnings. In parallel, Jalen’s Moxi project represents his journey towards self-love and embracing new experiences. It’s an exploration of confidence, empowerment, and the

audacity to redefine what it means to love and live freely, particularly as a queer Black artist.

As a gay civil rights activist, Jalen’s mission is rooted in challenging the status quo, particularly in the queer and Black communities, where representation and authenticity in music are often lacking. Through his work, he seeks to disrupt societal norms non-violently, amplify queer voices, and call for more love in the world, fighting for the rights and visibility of marginalized groups. His music aims to foster empathy, healing, and reflection, especially through the lens of his own experiences.
